About Aquatic Edge:
World Master Swimmer of the Year Karlyn Pipes-Neilsen along with her coach and multi-sport athlete Eric Neilsen travel the world teaching swimmers and triathletes of all ages and abilities how to SWIM FASTER with LESS EFFORT!
Aquatic Edge is located in beautiful and sunny Kona, Hawaii, but we are also a mobile service hosting over 60 swim technique clinics and camps worldwide. We make frequent trips to the mainland, Australia, UK, Germany, Mexico and France. We can travel ANYWHERE in the WORLD to offer a clinic or multi-day camp for your team or group.
In addition, Aquatic Edge offers a wide range of services for the visitor to the Big Island of Hawaii. You can schedule a private stroke technique session in our Endless Pool, or an adventure swim in the ocean. We can also custom build a swim, triathlon or open water camp of any length to suit your needs, wants and budget and for any size group, large or small. We even offer camps for as few as two people.

About Karlyn: She is the 2008, 2007 and 2004 World Masters Swimmer of the Year and to date has set over 200+ FINA Masters World records of which 52 are still current. In 2007, she was inducted into the International Masters Swimming Hall of Fame. In addition, Karlyn has competed in open water races since the age of 8 and holds numerous course records in California and the all over the Island of Hawaii.
About Eric: He has been Karlyn's primary swim coach since 1993 and has over 18 years of experience working with Masters, triathletes and youth swimmers. Eric is a tried and true multi-sport athlete having competed in triathlons since 1985, has been recognized as an All-American masters swimmer and has a marathon PR of 2:51. Eric's credentials include: American Swim Coaches Association certified level 4 coach, ACE Personal Trainer, graduate of the School of Healing Arts Massage School.
Both Karlyn and Eric are certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid

Congratulations! to Karlyn for setting a new FINA world record in the 200-meter Butterfly with a time of of 2:24.34 last weekend while competing in Kona at the Summer Fun Long Course meet. For the past 3-½ months, Karlyn has traveled the globe competing both Masters and USA swim meets in France, Canada, Florida, California and Hawaii culminating in 13 World and USMS national record-breaking performances and three life-time bests. Getting older AND swimming faster? You bet!!
